Like a Phoenix

A pot, fresh out the kiln and the first step in this particular glazing process, is placed on wood-shavings, ready for the second. By sealing the pot, flames and smoke underneath an upturned metal dustbin, a carbon-rich, reducing atmoshpere will develop and perform its final magic on the glaze.
