Dartmoor Old Archeology

Who knows what sort of building this was—or when it was last in use. You can get a sense of the age of the site by looking at all those lumps and bumps. Each one is a discarded stone or pile that has been covered over by the slow-growing mossy grass you get on Dartmoor.

I'd hazard a guess that the bulding last stood at least 100 years ago, maybe as much as two or three hundred years ago or more.

Come on Tony Robinson and the Time Team, where are you when there's some great old archaeology to be dug?!

Keywords: standing stones, trees, old archeology, Dartmoor 2010, landscape, colour, evening sun, Devon
